Inside Out 2
I thought that this film did a great job at showcasing puberty as well as mental health/personality development in children when they get older. It was also hard to watch for me because I totally related to what Riley was going through growing up. As soon as I saw the emotions pushing Riley's bad memories in the back of her mind, I immediately knew what was going to happen later on.
As someone who's had anxiety throughout her teenage years, the scene where Riley was having a panic attack was way too real. Just hearing "I'M NOT GOOD ENOUGH" over and over made me really emotional. I really wanted to see Anxiety as the villain of the movie, but she wasn't really a "villain"; she, like Joy, was trying to do what's best for Riley. And seeing Anxiety let go and the other emotions embracing Riley's new sense of sense really hit home for me, as it's still something I'm trying to work on myself. This movie is not only a really good sequel, it's a Disney/Pixar movie that I've enjoyed in the 2020s.
