Ok so I was gonna do a stupid ass short review like normal until the end sum like freaky grandma origin story before gta 6 but like naw this deserves more than that 😭. It’s kinda slow in the buildup as a psychological horror film tbh since it goes from 0 to 100 like a slasher would (like X did). But other than that it’s extremely well made that shit was disturbing af. Mia Goth’s performance went fucking crazy, this movie wouldn’t be even close to as effective without her. What got me the most was that terrifying ass 8 min monologue which flew by, incredibly well written. Highlight of the movie by far. No spoilers but iykyk about how u need to watch at least like 5 min of the credits because that shit was just haunting honestly. This movie made a kind of throwaway slasher villain fleshed out with a truly terrifying descent into madness in a way that makes it somewhat realistic and pretty sad with her heavily insinuated mental illness. Good job Ti West and Mia Goth 😭🙏
