A lot of these reviews are biased towards nostalgia and a mild tendency of obsession on my part. Like of course my favorite movie from when I was 12 is a 10/10

Went into this blind and was pleasantly surprised. There’s so many layers to unpack about the whole story. It’s a historical/political parody of a dystopian world and tells the story of how the world went to shit. Very obvious parallels to the current political and economic state of the world right now. Like the president is a stupid old guy that shits his pants. I loved Mr John Goodman in this #goat. I am not usually a Tom Cruise fan, but he was very good in this movie. To me, he became his character so much so that I never saw Tom Cruise within the movie. He reminded me more of Bob Odenkirk than Tom Cruise. High praise from me. I also loved the robot cat 😼😼😼as well as the set design and visuals within the parody. Spoilers/movie in a nutshell: Tom Cruise plays an actor in a dystopian world where climate change and oil billionaires have ruined the planet. A man named Digger was the main culprit and catalyst for the world ending because he continued to drill for oil even though it had terrible consequences. In the movie, we are now about 30 years post destruction and a play is created to tell people the story of how the world ended. Tom Cruises character plays the actor for Digger within this play.

Silly movie with silly Austin Abrams or shall I call him Ben Starling from Paper Towns
