RIPLEY
Having much liked “the talented mr. Ripley” for me it feels natural to compare the two. I love Andrew Scott and he doesn’t disappoint, neither do any of the actors for that matter. The problem I have is with the writing, especially Dickies character and also slightly Marge’s. In my opinion dickie is quite a mundane character and doesn’t have much in common with Tom at all. Beautiful black and white shots and stunning cinematic is where it shines most. The scene where he dresses up in front of the inspector was silly. The ending was nice. I havent read the book, so this might be ignorant.
