Bro how have I not seen this before. Joaquin Phoenix plays a strangely handsome and lowly call center employee who falls in love with a newly manufactured operating system. And the OS is voiced by SCARLETT JOHANSSON? Hold onto your balls people "Her" fit right into my taste of science fiction that's too close to our reality for comfort. It toys with outwardly absurd concepts but somehow works them into our psyche and makes them believable. This movie has a lot of heart, for being about a world and being that's cold, distant, and electronic. I found that Her examines the foundations and challenges of relationships through the sci-fi lens, drawing parallels to LDR's, traumas, and moving on. The soundtrack is also beautiful, and accentuates the mood the movie is trying to portray. The world building is told subtlely as well, and showcases a world that we might be heading to. This movie also explores sex. Wow! Surprise! And it will definitely have you saying "what the fuck." Nothing too crazy for a Saltburn world though. And you get to hear Black Widow and the Joker roleplay having sex! Yippee! Overall a great watch. Will have you thinking not only about the horrors of Al (again), but also questioning your perception of love and relationships.
