No lol. Except Defy Gravity and Popular. How could you forget that
Wicked was fantastic. The premise is such a great idea - how did it take till 1995 to make this shit. One thing I noticed is how immersive the film was. Returning to Oz was a joy and they brought it to life on the big screen once again.
As for adaptation: so great! The best part abt musical to movie pipeline is seeing how they can bring visuals beyond the stage. This felt like watching Wicked + more. And everyone in this cast has pipes! Got dayum.
I forgot Ariana was an actress tbh lol. But she was so funny as Glinda, and her pop star status vocals transferred well. Cynthia was amazing too - good heavens I almost shed a tear during Defying Gravity. Am I a bitch fo that fellas?
I have my own gripes with the dialogue tho. I did not like the SRS where characters would sing their dialogue while the camera was static. It felt weird imo, just talk instead?
So much love went into this production. Wicked once again proves it’s cracked, and Elphaba's story is very profound. I recommend.
