I Swear
It is very important for everyone to watch this as it shows the harsh reality of an individual living with a a hidden disability such as tourettes.
Being autistic myself (which is a completely different disability) made this a very emotional watch as I have been bullied and targeted most of my life for having a disbility that I cannot control, and it hurts so much that there are still people who aren't educated and decide be ableist “just for a laugh” because every comment just builds extra anxiety and depressive thoughts onto the individuals mind :(
I am very disappointed in bbc for airing the awful incident at the BAFTAS where John Davidson ticked a racial slur out loud whilst Delroy Lindo and Michael B. Jordan were presenting on stage. It could've easily been edited out and the greedy tv crew just wanted to stir up drama that led to thousands of people hating on a man for an action he had no control over. Like obviously the word he said was disgusting and no person of colour should ever have to be called that in their life, but John had zero intention of being racist and had to force himself to leave for being born with a disbibility. He deserves an apology but I am glad Micheal and Delfoy also received an apology.
This is like one of the biggest reviews I have ever typed but this film was so powerful and every actor did a spectacular job at portraying such emotional characters. Thank you to @masonlovesfilms for hyping this up so much!!
