Ironheart

7 / 10 “What I’m building is…iconic.” Honestly, I don’t believe people even watched Iron Heart. I think they simply entered the series with a preconceived notion of disliking it. If you actually gave this series a chance, I feel like you would enjoy it and have a good time. It’s another solid MCU series that has a nice call back to the original Iron Man movies and a few surprises along the way, with Dominique Thorne delivering an excellent performance in this role as Riri Williams.  We get several different Iron Heart suits and all of them are better than the previous version that we saw in Wakanda. I don’t know what it is, but I’ve never cared for Anthony Ramos as an actor so with him playing the main antagonist I kept feeling like something was missing. I just wanted more action and scenes of Riri fighting and using her suit. But after years of speculation in the MCU, since the first series with WandaVision, we finally get our first look and name drop at a pretty big character that may play a decent role in the MCU going forward. The ending definitely surprised me and I’m eager to see where and when we see this character next and where her journey will go from here.  Some of the MCU series should consider releasing episodes simultaneously instead of on a weekly basis. I think it would make it easier for these to be binged, and the general audience enjoy them more. Overall, Iron Heart is a good addition to the MCU. It’s not one of my favorite series, but it’s not the worst either. I genuinely enjoyed it.
