Hereditary
‘that whole dinner table scene’ - such a disturbing, horrible movie. It’s actually so depressing like I wasn’t happy at all during this movie. The only slightly positive thing was how funny it was how sick Steve was of everyone’s shit. Brilliant performances all round especially Toni Collette who’s gives one of the best performances I’ve ever seen. It was horrible watching her dealing with the grief of family losses, a theme that I think makes this movie so great. The last 15 minutes are disgusting, in a good horror way. This movie has some of the best examples of my favourite type of horror, that being the hidden in plain sight horror. Figures eerily in frame just there; just so terrifying some times and it’s used so well in this. The tongue clicking was horrible, the score was horrible, the imagery was horrible. The camera work was so good, the twist was good. The score during that final scene was magical. Might be a perfect movie.
