anything with kids in peril/traumatized is guaranteed to make me upset. immediately bleak. i haven't watched the road but i read the book and this gave me the same heavy weepy feeling. it's not very eventful but it doesn't need to be, really. it's better that it's not. it lets the dread and sorrow seep in. i love how the unnamed man from camp comforts ben, it's such a touching moment in all the sadness. maybe everything will be okay, you should stay and find out. anything can happen.

pretty solid, even a little over 50 years later. a powerful and difficult watch. frighteningly realistic. just bleak and tragic. incredibly well-acted.

overall lovely animation and voice acting. a bit choppy at times though. love seeing the predator in different time periods. SUPREMELY interesting way to combine the three as well. the kills are fucking sick. gruesome and exciting.

theresa randle is so gorgeous and charming. slightly uncomfortable but still quite funny at times. some fun and stylish choices. surprisingly respectful albeit a bit dated at times. gorgeous outfits. i loved her dynamic with jimmy as well. i'm so glad she learns how to reclaim her dignity and sense of person. wonderful soundtrack.
