Back to the Future
Hell of a time. What a great movie. I’d never watched it start to finish before, always saw chunks, probably saw the whole movie twice in scattered chunks. But man was it great to just watch cover to cover. It holds up super well. The sci-fi aspect is still strong, the comedy is still great, and the story is timeless. I genuinely was entertained the entire time, nothing was too shocking of a plot point and everything flowed. It was beautifully shot too, great soundtrack, honestly pretty great acting. Doc Brown is genuinely hilarious. So many one liners from him from the Ronald Reagan stuff to the adopted line and so much more. The whole mom got the hots for you thing is hilarious and it was executed so well. Nothing felt campy, it all felt legit and good. I love the witty dialogue, idk I just loved it. Made me feel good for sure. All the characters were unique and interesting like Biff and Marty and George all had different and unique approaches to being a man. And the time travel stuff had good solid rules. It also did a good job showing two eras. I thought the goon that had on 3D glasses the whole time was hilarious, imagine always seeing through those things in red and blue. Anyway the intensity to finish the plot and the tightrope walk to preserve the times was entertainment galore. Definitely a true classic.
“So why don’t you make like a tree and get outta here.”
“This is heavy.Weight has nothing to do with it.”
“Let me show you my plan for sending you home. Please excuse the crudity of this model. I didn't have time to build it to scale or paint it.”
“Yes. Yes. I'm George. George McFly. I'm your density. I mean, your destiny.”
“Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.”
