Coco
Art. Pure art, it’s so beautiful and emotional. I cried so much the first time and seeing it again in theaters I couldn’t help but tear up. I think this is my favorite Pixar movie, actually no I can say with confidence it is. This movie is so intensely beautiful to look at, to listen to, and to feel. The colors and animation are top notch, the giants backgrounds with vast detail. Wow. And the music and voice acting are so good. I love the songs, as sad as they can be. But for me this movie does it all with the story and the gut punch at the end. It is a genuinely heartbreaking and intense story. Straight up murder and betrayal and full on lost livelihoods. So much to reflect on as far as how we live and what living is. What value there is in a history book or in pop culture rather than with those we love the most. God I am getting a little sad thinking about this now.
