Still an amazing time, and damn is it beautiful in IMAX, but I think 4DX is what made me want to give it 5 stars. But I still absolutely love this, it’s genuinely heartwarming, funny, intense. Like I said it is the generic sports movie model but fuck it who cares, it does it well. And for everyone comparing this to top gun maverick, yeah same director but nowhere near the same content. I think he made F1 look so beautiful and exciting and intense. All the races shined, especially the opening race, took full advantage of the budget there. I have no complaints about the visuals of this film nor the action. That all is perfect, where it falls short is a bit of the story. But it’s the summer block buster no doubt. I left the theater dropping it down to a 4 but it’s going back to 4.5 because I can’t get it out of my head, the music, the scenes, these beautiful tik tok edits. It’s a fun film and that’s that. I mean I fuck heavy with F1 now, watched two races already. “Lose that lead and I’ll kill ya.” “I’ll see ya down the road.” “If you don’t like the way I’m driving beat me swan.”  “Don’t be shitty to yourself, there’s plenty of people to do that for you.” “They're saying Sonny Hayes isn't a has-been.
