Inception
I absolutely love when movies have crazy fucking ideas and rules and seemingly follow them to a tee. I loved this movie. An onslaught of creativity and imagination. Such an insanely interesting idea and I thought it was done perfectly. The acting, the sets, the score, the camerawork, the everything. It was non-stop go go go but somehow felt slow and heartfelt at times too. The idea of spending a lifetime with someone all for it to be nothing is insane to me. The idea that this reality just might not be the one is mindfuckery. I shouldn’t have walked outside and questioned if I’m really dreaming or not. Nothing should be able to make you do that. And I mean how do you not mention the ending. The top just dragging on, leaving us unsure of his new reality. It felt like a heist movie but elevated. I really, really enjoyed this movie. So glad I saw it in theaters too. How could we possibly know what’s real?
