Parasite
What is there to say. A parasite embodies its innocent host, takes over quietly from the inside, kills the host and forces it out, inevitably taking itself over. This family does exactly that, killing the host and original body from the start. Incredible commentary on wealth and the complete ignorance that comes with wealth disparity. Idk it’s hard to put this to words, it’s an experience more than it is anything else. I mean the visceral fear when you see the ghost face pass the plain of the stairs. The realization that he’s returned to the basement and the cycle continues is incredible. Amazing acting, amazing cinematography, amazing everything. As soon as the family found any foundation of wealth did they lose compassion for the help they find or did they never have compassion at all? Is this shared scent they have a scent of poverty? It’s incredible.
