The Thing

Perfect horror movie. Beautiful setting, shots, story, acting, everything. The practical effects are obviously so amazing. I love the story and the performances and just yeah. The ending is poetic, you see Childs and MacReady accepting their shred fate. Not knowing if they’re about to end life on earth or die together or live normally. Uncertainty is the theme and tool of the film, making you questions who’s who and what is happening. The landscape shots are breathe taking and some of the close up shots with the color palettes were incredible. The famous chest opening scene is worth the hype, I just love this movie.
