ScreamCxrsxn8.9· July 13, 2024FollowHOW COULD IT BE HUGHIE!?!?! In all seriousness this is the end of my Scream watch through so all my thoughts go here (watched Scream 6 in theaters… we’ll get back to that). This feels like it really brought a second wave back into the franchise. We start fresh with new characters, only to bring back the old ones to come in and save the day. Speaking of old characters, I guess I got what I asked for with killing a legacy character off… just why Dewey he was going through so much. Back the the new characters, I think they’re all great for the most part (although Chad shouldn’t be alive after the beating he took in both movies). It really sucks that everything had to happen behind the scenes and we most likely won’t get a “conclusion” for the core four. Now for the elephant in the room, yes, I already knew who the killers were from watching Scream 6 (yes ik it was stupid to do that). Still don’t remember if 6 went over the motives in detail so it was refreshing to see that explained. But still think the “twist” was done well. Really love that they brought it back to the Macher house for the finale. Really hope we can get the core four back for at least one movie but that’s wishful thinking on my part. Final rankings: 1. Scream2. Scream 53. Scream 64. Scream 45. Scream 26. Scream 3CommentsSign in to react and join the conversation.Sign inGet the app
