Wicked
I've been excited for this movie since I couldn't watch it live and because I love/know a few songs.
After watching the film, I am in love with every song.
Music wise, I would say the film made the songs have a movie feeling. It's hard to explain, but compared to Broadway, the pronunciation of certain lines were different, like how'd you expect a movie musical to sound.
I love the acting as well, it made me emotional, especially during "No One Mourns The Wicked" and the dance scene in the Ozzdust Ballroom.
Also, I didn't know the story of Wicked, so I loved the themes of censorship, manipulation, and dystopian vibes. I can't wait to see the themes unfold more in the second part. Especially through the Emerald City and Wizard.
Spoiler: I love how they brought back Idina and Kristin in "One Short Day" AND had them do their notes from "Defying Gravity" and "No One Mourns The Wicked"
Overall, great movie. I love Cynthia's and Arriana's performance. The cheorgorphy and outfits were stunning.
