my roommate smuggled this dvd into mormon boarding school in 2013 as my first introduction to death note and i genuinely thought it was the greatest thing ever made. lowkey still do lol  honestly so much of the art i’m drawn to now leads back to this. the weird, the macabre, the kind of stuff that had those mormon teachers deeply concerned. it all started here <3  and so what if it’s a little corny? it’s 2006 bitch! you guys just don’t know how to have FUN!

devastating in its details. a hair in a brush, a life forever paused. i do think with such limited time, too much of it is spent on the act of covering the story rather than the people at its center, but it still feels absolutely essential to watch.
