a relentless yet beautifully made study of masculinity, the military, and the actions of people beaten down by an abusive and unchanging system imposed beyond their control. the best series i’ve ever watched. s2e4 especially— i can’t say how many times i’ve finished that episode just to immediately restart it.  “You know the canteens we use? Do you know what’s written on them? It says, ‘1953’. They were used during the Korean war. They won’t even change the canteens.”
