Extremely fun 80s action  Not watched this in years and I’m surprised at how much I enjoyed it  Extremely fun and thrilling with some great action set pieces  The cinematography in the dogfight scenes are top notch and the editing too works well  The soundtrack is a classic one with all the 80s songs  The characters are solid and tbf goose dying was surprising for a film like this which I liked  Dull love interest but that’s standard  Great pacing went rlly fast  Good lighting  Sooo 80s Yeah rlly like this one

A great insight of idolisation morphing into pure jealousy Been wanting to watch this one for a while the slow burn western character study had me interested right away and this did not fail This films beauty when it comes to camerawork and lighting is amazing every shot has some ounce of beauty in it whether it’s Jesse James being dark or the vast snowy landscape most scenes are gorgeous  Pitt is just great. He plays such an evil and angry man who in most scenes is very scary giving him an almost Anton Cigurh vibe to him. The scene where he offers a ride is just so good no score just pure acting glory  Affleck is great too morphing his performance alongside his characters change  The story itself shows how you shouldn’t meet your hero’s. You come to find they’re almost too much of what you wanted and it kills you. The length goes by so fast for the vast runtime and allows for all the characters to be fleshed out and the all star cast works well. The ending 20 is great to show how Ford lost himself  The films violence while subtle is shocking and great  The score is quiet but beautiful  The film as a whole is very quiet  Costume design and makeup stand out too A class western film

Nearly 100 years old but I would say still holds up pretty well  This is rightfully a classic but obviously got some issues in the age  This films got a very good style. The island is built rlly well and definitely convinced me this was some unknown island  The monsters are just great I loved watching them move. The stop motion I think helps to add horror to the monster and King Kong is actually genuinely scary due to the age  Denham is a rlly solid villain even if he’s not presented as one. A very greedy and up his own ass character. My problem with this film. It’s kinda racist 😂 very poorly made Asian characters and the African like tribe characters are seen as villains when realistically have had their residence invaded. The story can be a bit standard and dull but I enjoyed the majority of the film which for a 30s film is good. Actings good for the time  Liked to see the filmmaking scenes helped to show how different it was  Lovely score which helps add to the tension  Yeah liked this no where near perfect but I thought it was solid

Complex and character driven banger from PTA This is my third try watching this and I’m glad I finally got through it this films pretty fucking good  The visual style is one of the best I’ve ever seen the camera used is perfect and makes everything look absolutely stunning it is a feast for the eyes  The acting also is fucking unbelievable there are some amazing performances. Pheonix is at his best even better than joker, Adam’s is evil and snide and amazing and Hoffman is just perfect his performance is stunning. The characters are so well made and brilliant to watch. No one’s good but who’s the worst it’s so hard to tell. The scenes of emotional torture and manipulation are done so so so well. The ending is great as it leaves so many stuff open to interpretation and idk what to think. The comments on Scientology and their methods are j mean as clear as day. Very tense and dramatic  Great writing  Love the long static camera scenes to help build tension  Great cast too. Weird how much Plemons looks like Hoffman. But yeah amazing film just a few dull parts needing to go for a 10
