Sophie Thatcher’s makeup alone deserves 5 stars

What else is there to say about The Haunting of Hill House? I’ve heard it praised for how it captures grief, trauma, and horror, but I never expected this. I didn’t expect the pain in my chest for these characters. To feel so overwhelmed by their grief. The first 8 episodes are a masterpiece, episode 5 in particular. It's the kind of episode that makes me wish I went to film school, just so I could write an entire essay about it. That single hour feels like an emotional gut punch wrapped in an intricate web of storytelling. The Crain sisters deserve everything and more. Luke, my baby, you have a heart of gold. As for Steven.. I don’t really care for Steven *“Ghosts are guilt, ghosts are secrets, ghosts are regrets and failings, but most times, a ghost is a wish” *
