Magnolia

For an atheist, I really LOVE biblical imagery. Magnolia does it so well and so subtly. The accumulation of all the hints to Exodus 8:2 make the ending, which seems so random at surface level, incredibly satisfying. It’s the volta of the film, telling the characters to “wise up” (lol). Stacked cast, immaculate performances, great soundtrack, and Julianne Moore. I can’t fault it.
