Sometimes the writing and direction had issues navigating the tonal shifts. But generally was quite good. But the particular strength of the writing wasn’t the moment to moment stuff which was sometimes uneven. It was the grand arc of the series which was a total triumph. And then Michelle Williams and Jenny Slate… just… magnificent performances.
