Love Toni Colette and Mae Martin, so I’m sorry to say that this is rly undercooked. It taking place in the 90s is so lazy- no reason for it except to solve The Smartphone Problem ™️. A lot of bugs could’ve been worked out by placing it in the modern day and making it campier/funnier. The dramatic and emotional moments don’t hit anyways. The mysteries don’t get solved- wtf was up with the frogs, btw?? It needed a big dose of humor. Mae is a comedian- why wasn’t that delivered??
