We won. Best live action Spiderman since Spiderman 2. This means something to me man. Give Destin Daniel Cretton the keys to the mcu please. Its the best looking MCU movie ever. Tom Holland is the best Spiderman no question and this was the best performance of his career. And brother omg punisher and peters buddy cop dynamic was so fucking good and funny. Hulk was done incredibly. The action was spectacular. But this movie is so emotional and for me the most ever in a Spiderman movie. The theme of loneliness and how Peter just needed a friend and when he was hanging out with bed and mj in costume, that hit me hard. And Sadie sinks jean grey was evil for baiting in Peter with that kiss. Speaking of jean grey, Sadie Sink was incredible and the emotional side of her was so well done. And at the end when all of new York was celebrating Spidey that shit made me tear up. I'm so excited to see it again tommorow. And that ending handshake with bed made me leave the theatre with a fucking heavy heart.

I think I just love movies under 100 minutes that takes place in a single room. This is so incredible. The main 2 actors are so charismatic and James Stewarts character being a detective and finding all the clues and deducing the crime is so fun. And there are conversations which really makes you think about the idea of murder. This might be my favourite use of blocking in a movie and it's constantly and I just love when movies have good blocking.

This was a 4.5 till that last 15 minutes. Best believe every petrol station I go to I will be aware. It's disturbing, anxiety inducing it's a nightmare. It's truly disgusting and has stood the test of time. I'm pretty sure all the remakes will never live up to this. Masterpiece.

A rewatch could easily bump this up to a 5 star film for me and I really do think it's one of the best of the decade maybe even of the century. Wes Anderson is a genius even if I don't like him as a person his hyper styalisaton in his movies is so unique and I think it's the best in the Grand Budapest Hotel. It's so unique and charming and just ultimately fun. It's a one of a kind movie and a visual marvel: the colours, set pieces are spectacular and we will never see a movie like this again. And I love how the aspect ratio changes from when we're in the past or present. Performance wise Ralph Fiennes as Gustave is spectacular so funny, charismatic and rageful at times and he could change his emotions in milliseconds. And he nails the comedic timing. Tony Revolori who I commonly know as Flash Thompson from Tom Holland's Spiderman universe is great for his first role as well
