It was fun not as good as the first two but I had a good time

I love how John Conor is basically just Bart Simpson

Good not great. My pros are that the tension is very well done and whenever they’re just walking around it’s nerve wrecking due to the phenomenal set and sound design. It really has you on the edge of your seat however when they finally reveal the monsters it’s just kinda meh. The first act was so great it kinda had me expecting something new and unconventional from a horror movie but the final act is literally a scared girl with a sprained ankle limping away from a big scary cgi monster, not exactly groundbreaking. And another was I did not care about any of the characters, I thought their personal struggles were boring and each dramatic scene just felt like filler and didn’t really help you connect with them. It really felt like they were trying to emulate the shining which they did successfully with the atmosphere and tension but the acting and dialogue didn’t really have me intrigued by either of the lead actors. Overall it was an enjoyable movie but I would recommend seeing it in theaters because it added to the experience cuz if I watched at home I’d lowkey be on my phone for some of the scenes.
