Hamnet
After letting this film sit with me for a couple hours, I understand.
I might not have cried in the cinema but when I look back and think, it is hitting me in the spot.
William immortalised Hamnet on the stage and Agnes thought he wasn't grieving, but he was, in his own way.
The performances were absolutely stellar. I did have some issues hearing dialogue in the cinema so a rewatch is definitely needed to understand everything, but this film is so powerful. The cinematography is so addicting, how the camera moves in shots, not always focusing on the character speaking dialogue is addicting.
The attention to detail for the time period is also very appreciated; all of their fingernails are dirty, which matches.
Definitely one of the best films of 2025. They better sweep at the Oscars.
