Arrietty

a truly magical movie. it captures curiosity and hope so well. the details are fantastic—a maximalist collectors dream.  and the ending, the tears as she jumps down from the fence, running away from Shawn. the way she offers her clip and the way he gives her a sugar cube. the first and last gift he would ever give her. it holds my heart.
