Interstellar
Wow. My respect for Christopher Nolan has only grown.
I had been sleeping on this film for far too long. I finally crossed this film off of my watchlist and I’m quite frustrated at myself for not watching it sooner. This film is truly revolutionary. This film is perfect in too many ways to count but I’ll mention my favorites.
This film’s visuals were the first thing that stuck out to me. The creativity behind the colors and designs of the explored locations within space captured my eyes. I felt like I couldn’t look away from the screen throughout majority of the film.
Interstellar has gathered a sizable fan base simply due to its score and I can now understand why. This score gave me chills from the start to finish. I think this film did one of the best jobs utilizing its visuals, cinematography, and score complementarily in order to make this film utterly beautiful.
Also, I did not expect to tear up twice(I won’t spoil when in the film although most viewers can accurately assume) coming into this film. The emotional aspect of this film was incredible. It really allowed McConaughey’s acting range to shine and it allowed the movie to sink in deeper with its audience. My love for Interstellar simply would not be the same without this aspect.
Also, I can’t finish this review without stating that the tesseract scene was freaking insane. Truly mind blowing.
