I enjoyed it but the changes for this adaptation fundamentally change the moral of the original story. Also the needle drop moments in this were mid to bad.  SPOILERS BELOW It feels icky to change the motivation of Krem to sex trafficking. Why do we need that change for a woman centered film? Also it undercuts Kara’s journey by having her kill Krem. The lesson she learns is that even though she’s been steeped in trauma and revenge, it’s never too late to change.  Also wtf was with that cover of “The Middle”?
