Seems like a fun small project, where Miike got to showcase his creative passion for special effects. For what the story is about, this wasn’t terrible.

ASMR in the 80s was fun. Very effective dialogue.

They’re both weird. Not sure how close to the book this film is but it’s so strange how this story became very mainstream. Internal dialogue isn’t used much in American films so it’s cool to see it utilized so well within the plot.

There are extremely heavy themes in this film. It keeps you hooked with some extremely intense moments. Great ending.
