PlayTime

i honestly couldn’t begin to explain what this film is about, love the vibe though.  i’ve been obsessed with movies that have an Alice in Wonderland feel to them, as in, you’re going down a rabbit hole meeting these odd characters and everything’s mysterious yet so bright and interesting. Play Time, 8 1/2, and Celine & Julie Go Boating have been some of my favourite films i’ve watched this year that have that same feeling.  the atmosphere - despite the capitalism - is warm and delightful, with all these strange beautiful people engaging with each other and their surroundings. some characters did piss me off a little but i guess it’s because i work retail and felt the pain of annoying questions/customers.  wide shots are to die for. love the settings. very cute. will need to rewatch soon.
