> **"The rest is silence"** sobbing in the cinema because everyone's performance was so insane. oh jessie buckley, i wasn't familiar with your anguish game. perfect perfect. so glad i watched this in the theatres.

> "those two friends? of course they're fine- Youth is everlasting" let the post movie thoughts marinate and it's kinda foul that the movie ended the way it ended especially given the premise of it.... i know it's not conventional the way the relationship progresses but it was so wholesome watching two lonely souls intertwine.

among the painful things, god jaehee's love life was a hard watch. slow death watching the way rigid "conservative" korean culture breaks down her free spirited self until she muted the vibrancy of her true self..... yeah but all is well hate hate the depiction of aging/ maturing through muted colours and conformist fashion Noh Sang Hyun u r so dear to me......

finally got to watch yi-yi which i've been putting off to see. incredibly blessed to be able to catch the screening of the restored version. incredible cinematography and i terribly love the conversations between NJ and Ota. Edward Yang... you genius.
