The Maze Runner
very cool premise. i kinda wish it was longer, like at one point someone told dylan o’brien “you’ve been here for 3 days… i’ve been here for 3 YEARS” and i was like wtf… i just had assumed there’d been some egregious time skips. btw honestly justice for gally. he got kinda cartoony near the end but idk like was he wrong about everything becoming actually god awful the second thomas showed up? NO. that’s a crazy amount of shit to happen in 3 days. i assume he was meant to be like going a little cwazy due to being in the maze for so long (i assumed the longest? ik they said it was alby but idk if i believe that, it was just an assumption right?) but it wasn’t really written that well.
the entire movie from teresa’s perspective is probably a horror movie. i mean in fairness it’s also horrible for everyone else but my point is she assimilates way too quickly for a teenage girl trapped in a BOX surrounded by BOYS. nightmare! when they were escaping she grabbed chuck and was like “i got you chuck” and i couldn’t help but think bro yall have never met before. but that’s ok. maybe i just have 2020s brainrot and think all movies should actually be a 6 part mini series, but i just feel like there could’ve been more going on here.
also dylan o’brien sounds like bisexual firefighter evan buckley which did make me start to question if he had been secretly british the entire time. but no. he’s just a scamp.
