Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Solid State Society

These films are so incredibly dense. Philosophically, technologically, story-wise… they feel just as interconnected and unregulated as the internet itself.  Where else can you find a very nuanced story about reactions to the declining birth rate, the treatment of refugees, and the foster care system all while simultaneously exploring the very nature of identity and subconscious/collective consciousness/gestalt???? I love this series so much, and I’m so glad I found this IP.
