Wow, just wow. This is peak. This is nothing short of amazing. This movie does not get the respect it deserves. I never hear people talking about it, and honestly, it should be a household name. What an experience this movie is. Nightcrawler is the perfect name for this movie as it matches the description of Lou. He just feels like a creature that lurks and crawls around in a shadows at night like a coyote with 8 legs. I love the perspective of this film, seeing everything through Lou’s eyes. It’s rare for a movie to have this type of main character—a psychopath willing to do absolutely anything to get what he wants. He is completely nuts, but it just sucks you in and it’s incredibly entertaining to watch. Jake mf Gyllenhaal as Lou Bloom… just wow this guy is unreal. One of the best of the generation hands down. Nightcrawler, prisoners, donnie darko, southpaw, end of watch, brokeback mountain and a lot more. are we serious? What a phenomenal performance. Genuinely a top 3 performance i’ve ever seen in a role. Not even getting a nomination for this role is just proof that the Oscar’s are a joke. He plays this psychopathic role perfectly, down to the smallest details. Even the way he walks. He doesn’t even walk like a normal person—he glides, like a lizard on ice. It’s unsettling in the best way possible. The suspense, the action, the payoffs… everything just works. This movie also does a great job highlighting how people with loose morals and sociopathic or psychopathic tendencies can get ahead in the world we live in. Another win for the psycho, but man, is it awesome watching it all unfold.

“I put my heart and my soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process” - Vincent van Gogh I’ve been putting off watching this movie for a long time because I honestly didn’t think I’d care about the story of a jazz drummer, but that was something special. This is one of those movies that just makes you love movies. First, let me say JK Simmons. What an incredible performance. He played that role as well as—if not better than—any performance I’ve ever seen. Absolutely phenomenal. I love this story, and I understand Fletcher. I’m sure a lot of people see him as the villain, but I also think that’s what it takes. If you want to be one of the greats at anything in life, you don’t get there by playing it safe or being comfortable. If you’re not obsessed to the point where people question your sanity, you’re probably not going to become one of the greats, because that level of obsession is usually what it takes. There’s a fine line between completely losing yourself in something and simply pushing yourself, but where you think that line is drawn is up to you . This movie had me completely locked in from beginning to end. Those two hours flew by so fast they almost gave me whiplash. I love the way it depicts drive, obsession, and the true cost of greatness. What I find interesting too is how it’s open to interpretation. It almost feels like you’re not sure whose perspective the movie is really coming from. Is it Andrew’s or Fletcher’s? On one hand, Andrew desperately wants to be great and he refuses to settle for an ordinary life like the one his father represents. Fletcher becomes the force that pushes him beyond what he thought he was capable of. In that, Andrew isn’t doing it for Fletcher’s approval. Fletcher is just simply a tool in his journey, someone who forces him to push himself farther and become the musician he wants to be. On the other hand, you could argue the story is told through Fletcher’s philosophy. That he believes greatness demands immense suffering and sacrifice, and over time he indoctrinated Andrew into accepting that belief. In that sense, Fletcher succeeds in creating the “monster” he always wanted to have. His legacy in a sense. Not necessarily about andrew at all but that his philosophy is true and that he made him great. And andrew’s father at the end looked scared on what andrew has become and what fletcher has carved him into, maybe alluding to the fact that andrew may become like fletchers old student that ended his own life. I think it’s definitely a mix of the two but it’s interesting to think about. I completely understand why people love this movie. Only a 3 million dollar budget too, crazy. "I've lost my mind in this game. Like Vincent Van Gogh. He dedicated his life to his art and lost his mind in the process. That's happened to me. But fuck it. When that gold belt is around my waist, when my mother has a big mansion, when my girlfriend has a different car for everyday of the week, and my kid's kids have anything they ever want; then it will pay. Then I'm happy i lost my mind." -connor mcgregor

If this movie came out in the early 2000s and had that early 2k/90s vibe to it, this movie would be a household name for generations. I can’t believe I'm rating a talking sheep movie 4 1/2 stars but here we are. I didn’t know what to expect going into this, it definitely wasn’t this. What i thought was gonna be a silly talking sheep murder mystery but was actually a very well crafted emotional story. I would have never thought a silly sheep movie would have such deep rooted emotion. A story of grief and choosing to remember even when it hurts. It’s such an imaginative way of portraying grief and death concepts. This is like eternal sunshine of spotless mind(for the theme), knives out(for the plot) and then it was played by talking sheep. olivya is still sobbing 20 minutes later over the cute little winter lamb. She’s very happy he’s happy now. But as for the message and the way they portrayed it, i loved it. After all grief is not just sadness, it is proof that love existed and that it mattered. What a privilege it is to feel that deeply.

HELLO BOYS, IM BAAAAAAACK! - uncle eddie Is this movie goofy? yes Is this movie corny? yes In reality would the aliens just have smoked us instantly and there would have been no movie? yes But Is this movie awesome? yes absolutely This movie knows exactly what it is and it’s great at it. It doesn’t take itself too serious. It’s such a good classic movie, it’s whole dialogue is just guys aura farming one liners. This is really a perfect alien movie that anyone can enjoy even if you don’t care for alien stuff. It starts off a little slow but let them cook. It has so many banger 1 liners that i’m gonna try and remember to whip out when the time is right. This is just the definition of a banger classic movie, they really don’t make them like this anymore. - All you need is love. John Lennon. Smart man. Shot in the back.
