The other criterion I bought and wow what a damn good movie. Don’t think I’ve seen anything really set in this time period before and I think it represents it very well and every shot looks incredible. The story is some type of good as we follow a young bull named Redmond Barry just showing some grit and iron and doing whatever’s best for him and rising his way to right where he wants to be. In the second part of the movie Barry Lyndon is a title hungry man and you can see him and his stepsons rivalry form. Then the final few scenes with the duel and how it all falls apart fully for Barry was just amazing. What a watch.

Been needing to rewatch this and wow was it good. Great 1-2 punch with Brad Pitt and Morgan freeman and the freak Kevin spacey is great in this. This is such a good mystery thriller with the city being so dreary and setting the dark mood for this movie. The chase scene and what’s in the box scenes are both so good and the camera work in this movie is actually crazy. 📦📦📦

Wow this is a damn good one. Got the criterion collection and had to watch ASAP. Now I didn’t really know what was going on but after asking chat GPT a few questions to put the missing pieces together I understand the story a lot now. I knew something seemed up when you don’t call the cops when a random woman who got in a car accident is in your house. But I think the lack of a score in this movie compared to blue velvet is what kept me intrigued and that there was always some sort of tension in the next scene. The man was scary as hell. I think my favorite scene in the movie was the cowboy and Adam’s meeting. Definitely will be rewatching I know I missed some stuff but this movie was incredible I’m definitely gonna have to watch more lynch

First David lynch watch really enjoyed it. Definitely was prepared for weirder but this movie wasn’t too freakish. Never got too weirded out and some of the characters overboardness like franks cracked me up. Very good mystery with a good score that kept me on the edge of my seat. Kind of felt like a fever dream. Also introduced me to a bunch of new actors. Next David lynch watch is hopefully muholland drive really wanna watch that one.
