Get Out
What an incredible horror film. This is the definition of having a creative and unique idea and executing it perfectly. The eeriness is subtle the tension is constant, without having to fully rely on jump-scare or gore from the start to the end, and it’s full of foreshadowing. The plot twist was built up perfectly. The jokes were funny too. The police car scene really made my heart drop, bro, thank God it was just his friend.
I’m also glad that the gore felt necessary rather than exaggerated like a typical gore fest, and that it was mostly saved for the end. It made me so happy that I could watch the film from start to finish without having to close my eyes (except a few minutes to the end where the gorefest starts) because I was scared of the gore. An excellent horror film.
