Saltburn
i went into this film thinking it was a queer coming of age movie but oh boy was i wrong … some people make this movie out to be this very deep and profound piece of media but it’s actually quite straightforward? i’m mainly disappointed because the story sets oliver up for an interesting and compelling character arc with his freaky obsession with felix and his lavish lifestyle (or basically everything about him) but it all collapses in the ending and his motivations for killing the catton family just to keep up said facade are boiled down to the most surface level reasoning ever 😭 unbelievable waste of potential
some good things i’d have to say is that this film has some STUNNING cinematography and soundtrack, i was very immersed. And we can’t forget jacob elordi and his eyebrow piercing, which is probably the best thing to come out of Saltburn. RIP Felix Catton. You were great
