Doubt

“There are people who go after your humanity, and they tell you what to do and what to think and what to wear.” Putting Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams in the same movie is wild. 31 Oscar nominations and 4 wins between them, this might have been the most engaging dialogue i've ever seen. I watched a movie of the same length yesterday, and I could barely sit through it, not because it was bad but because there was never any excitement, yes it was romantic and beautiful, but it just wasn't engaging. And so watching this the next day really struck me with how little I usually notice the pacing in movies. Anyway this was done perfectly. • Cinematography - 8/10. • Story - 10/10. • Acting - 10/10. • Engagement - 10/10. • Genre points - 10/10 • Total - 48/50
