Sinners
This is one of those movies that i need to write a fucking essay about because they're that good.
Based on the movies that came out this year so far, Miles Caton and Tenaj L. Jackson should both win an Oscar, and Ludwig Görannson should win best original score.
The villain was Top tier, when I realized he was a vampire, I was scared that it's going to ruin the movie, but instead I got a terrifying villain that also kind of has a point.
There's also the little details that make a difference, like Ruthie being married, and that comes together the characters symbolizing each sin, or how or Remmic being Irish, making him an even better villain.
I also loved Mary and and Stack's relationship, how at the start, they wanted to be together, but couldn't, and how becoming immortal was the only way the could actually be together.
I think I already talked about Ludwig Görannson's Score but I'm still going to talk about it again, and how this is probably one of the best movies of all time, how I will probably love listening to this because it's so beautifully crafted, the thing about this soundtrack is that it feels alive, same thing about this whole movie, everything about this movie feels like it's breathing, that world is fucking dancing.
And also, that world, there are some movies (like Babylon or eyes wide shut)
That succeed in sucking you into this world, that you want to spend more time in it, and I love it when movies do that.
There's also the scene where Sammie is playing the guitar, when and all periods of that coulture come in, that was absolutely amazing, this is why I love cinema, it's beautiful, but it also means something, this scene will be studied in probably more then film schools.
I am also so glad I got to watch this at a cinema, this was just such an amazing experience, I will probably go again in a couple of weeks just to watch it again in IMAX.
This was amazing, and this movie is going to become a cult classic, and will be rememberd as one of the best horror movies of all time.
Update: I'm still thinking about this movie about two weeks later, I'm just listening to the soundtrack over and over again and I'm trying to rewatch it but my schedule is a fucking bitch, this movie is why I love cinema
