Frankenstein
Using my last breath to tell my chud brother that he is a fucking monster. This movie was a surprise for me. I knew nothing about it going in and was happy with it. My main takeaway is that British people are evil, and men will make something to abuse when they can't get a woman for that. The cast is amazing Mia Goth being the real standout. I love the Gothic and Victorian feel really sets the stage. The gore was also a nice touch. I've seen some reviews bemoan how this doesn't address male violence, but to me, it's showing where that leads, and that's the point. Fun fact, Jacob Elordi wasn't acting in this movie, this is what he looks like and how he behaves naturally. As a history major who recently took a class on public health, I liked a lot of the details in this story. People in my theatre complained about this being too long, but it was amazingly paced, and I think a lot of Australians are stupid and didn't know what was happening. This being released on Netflix for many people is a crime, but I am excited to look at this a second time on netlflix.
