Yeah it was cool and I was locked in the whole time, but I also didn’t give a shit about Pacinos scumbag character or his scumbag worldview. I know it’s unique for its time and never got oversaturated till recently, but I’m so tired of watching great shows or films, then the pricks we’re following garble out their retarded beliefs and there is never any direct opposition to that viewpoint. We just watch them crash and burn and think “oh I guess they were wrong” without any opposing thoughts being presented to the viewer. Now the viewer who is competent enough to pay attention to how he crashes and burns are left with nothing but a message on what not to be. And the incompetent viewers, for which there are many, are left parroting iconic quotes they hear from the dialogue when Pacinos character was on top, since that’s all most people remember.
