Bones and All
“You don’t think I’m a bad person?”
okaayy soo this is the first cannibal-themed movie where the characters are young teenagers! and before watching this, ofc i’d read the book and the movie was very faithful to the book adaptation, really worth to watch! 💐🫶🏻
imo, with a 2hrs duration, the first impression will definitely say that this will look boring, but honestly, the pace is slow-burn and slowly we’ll be made to follow the Maren’s (played by Taylor Russell) life journey, especially when she travels from one county to another, when she met her first love, Lee (played by Timothée Chalamet), when she met someone who was obsessed with her love, Sully (played by Mark Rylance), and when she tried to find her identity and search for the whereabouts of her mother who she’d never met since she’s a baby. this made me mellow, really 🥺
THE THIRD-ACT MAKES ME CRYING 😭💔 (pls don’t hurt me more again)
uhmm even tho this movie’s labeled a horror film, there are no horror or scary things at all, and this is what makes Camille DeAngelis unique as the book author 😻 and the plot itself focuses on love, identity, and the fear of being rejected for who you are, that’s why it feels gentle, bittersweet, and melancholic (i can say this looks better than Twilight saga lol :v) ❤️🩹
