Sinners
“There are legends of people... born with the gift of making music so true, it can pierce the veil between life and death. Conjuring spirits from the past... and the future. In Ancient Ireland, they were called Fili. In Choctaw land, they call them Firekeepers. And in West Africa, they're called griots. This gift can bring healing to their communities but it also attracts evil.”OMG PEAK MOVIE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
i can say it feels soo intense, moody, and very deliberate in how it builds tension. this movie leans more into atmosphere than nonstop action, letting silence, looks, and slow-burning conflict do the heavy lifting. it’s dark, but not in a flashy way, umm more simmering than explosive. i can feel this movie emotionally well!
maybe we know that this looks extreme but imo, the plot stays focused on guilt, identity, and consequences. the pacing is steady, sometimes uncomfortable, but intentionally so. Michael B. Jordan delivers a performance that feels controlled, intense, and quietly powerful. he brings a lot of inner conflict to the role, and it’s one of those performances where his presence alone carries the weight of the movie
if i can say, i begggg i need more climax ending, need more blues music, and need more plot about the White & Black people’s story in 1930s. this movie is SOOO GOOD and no wonder why it got 16 Oscar nominees pls 💐🫶🏻

i could feel the tension of that era when white and black people were completely separated. the racism was still very strong, even in details like the separate toilets and public facilities lol
I LAUGHED WHEN MY BAE SHOCKED WITH THE EXPLICIT SCENES AHAHAH I CAN’TTT 😭😭🫷🏻🫷🏻
