I really wanna like this movie more, but I dunno, I just, don’t? I forgot how much I dislike Jennifer Lawerence’s Mystique, her performance here is just so boring. Everyone else in this movie is pretty good, especially Fassbender’s Magneto and Hugh as Logan. I wish there was a bit more action or at least more mutants working with Charles, Logan, and Hank in the past other than just Quicksilver, like it’s an X-Men movie but it’s only about four of them. The future scenes are great and the flash forward at the end to the saved future just makes me wish we had a movie in that timeline rather than anything we got after this movie. I do gotta shoutout the Quicksilver scene though, it’s a wonderful sequence and iconic. But yeah, I dunno, I can get why people say this is the best one but to me it just isn’t.

A really fun movie that I think is a great translation of He-Man and his world, not the biggest fan ever but I’ve vague recollections watching the 2002 series as a kid. The visuals are stellar along with the action, and while I don’t think the humor is great, I gotta say Skeletor is fantastic, which is saying something cause it’s my arch-enemy Jared Leto playing him.

This two and half isn’t like, really cause I disliked the movie or thought it was bad, I think the film is like fine, the standout thing is the effort that went into actually making in, rather than, honestly anything else. I guess it’s my fault for expecting more out of it but idk, it’s just surprising to see a franchise start out like this and really be, kind of about nothing.

Honestly surprised it took me this long to see it, but I really enjoyed this. Probably the best performance I’ve seen Jack Black give in anything and the young actors are really good as well.
