Opens with "A Heterosexual Film by Gregg Araki" and it's the gayest form of heterosexuality known to man.

Araki perfectly captures the emotions that come with being an at risk queer teen/young adult. I left this movie feeling that hollow depressed feeling that haunted my own teen years.

Pete: "haha you're so beautiful I think I love you." Ray: *sleep deprived, rough 5 o'clock shadow, depressed and mildly homicidal, covered in sweat and grime*

Anna Kendrick was right in saying people are sleeping on Colossal. Making abusive men look dumb and weak with a metaphor for countries funding war and politically interfering, in the form of a sci fi monster? I apologize Ms Kendrick on this.
