Casshern
usually CGI sometimes get a bad rep and me personally I'm not a big fan of movies with excessive CGI or with bad CGI, but this movie for some reason broke every barrier possible, has completely ignored all of this and said fuck it, we ball with the CGI and cranked it to 120%
normally you would think that the result would just be shit slop and terrible, but somehow in this movie, it works so well, it gives it such a cool flair, personality and aesthetic, works really good with the plot, has that anime intensity and style, knowing that the original Casshern, more known as Casshan, is an anime from 1974, this crazy CGI really pushes it from just being a live-action based on an anime to its own thing, which is where movies that are based on an anime or a manga become their best and own flavorful thing, that's why movies like Tetsuo, Speed Racer and Ichi the Killer are kino
bonus points to the director who used to be a music video director before making Casshern, that is so fucking cool and I admire that
