Fandry
This movie is straight up powerful and uncomfortable in the best way. It shows the reality of caste in modern India , not the fake “we are all equal” thing we see in books and news, but what actually happens.
We have laws against discrimination, but the power is still in the hands of oppressors, and that’s what makes it so disturbing. Seeing Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Savitribai Phule’s photos there just makes it more ironic, because clearly their fight is still not over.
Jabya, man… my rebellious goat. The way he just wants to be treated equally among his so-called upper caste classmates and still gets looked down on , it’s frustrating as hell. And then people talk about merit-based society while still playing their caste games… it’s honestly funny and sad at the same time.
The dialogues feel raw, nothing fancy, just real. The whole rural setting gives it that rustic vibe, and the cinematography is beautiful without trying too hard.
But that climax… what a banger. Seriously. It just hits you hard and breaks that comfortable bubble you’re sitting in. That satisfaction I got when he started throwing stones at them .
